Our signature, intensive 12-week Community Business Academy (CBA) teaches effective business management.
Our CBA is offered in Six Different Hubs:
3 Geographic—Southside, Westside, and Northside.
3 Industry Specific—Construction Trades; Arts and Makers; Technology & Digital; and Property Developers.

Unlike other programs that stop once classroom training is completed, Sunshine is committed to supporting entrepreneurs through the life of their business via our Business Acceleration Services program.
Programs include individual coaching, workshops, events, and access to our signature mentor program, Next Level Exchange (NLE).

Sunshine has a vast network of marketplace professionals and successful business owners that function as industry experts able to provide advice and opportunity through leveraging social capital. At Sunshine we connect our clients with access to social, knowledge and financial capital. We work with banks and institutions to inform and assist entrepreneurs with getting access to capital.

Terra Firma is a 5-year, $25 million land care initiative to beautify, maintain, and activate over 205 acres of vacant land on Chicago’s mid-South Side. In its first year, Terra Firma is supporting the stabilization of 20-30 acres. Through job training and entrepreneurship programs, Terra Firma directly increases employment and business opportunities for local residents as well as produces measurable community outcomes related to physical, social, and environmental well-being.
