Rocio “Chio” Cabrera

Marketing and Communications Program Director

Entrepreneurship is a form of empowerment that changes lives and communities.  Rocio has lived by this belief and works to advance entrepreneurial endeavors through marketing. Rocio Cabrera proudly serves as the Marketing and Communications Program Director at Sunshine Enterprises.  She also serves as an Instructor and Business Coach for the Community Business Academy.  She first joined Sunshine to teach the first Spanish-speaking cohort in the CBA program.  Prior to her current roles at Sunshine, she served as the Business Acceleration Services and Spanish Coordinator.  

Rocio applies her passion and education in entrepreneurship into all her projects.  She founded Marca Chicago, a marketing agency that specializes in aiding Hispanic and other diverse markets in need of digital marketing.  She has coached multiple startups in Wisconsin and Illinois and has delivered multiple consulting projects for corporations across WI, including Fortune 500 companies. Rocio is the recipient of the prestigious Chick Evans Scholarship, a national 4- year full-ride scholarship.  She used this award to attend Marquette University where she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Entrepreneurship.  She served as head of justice and social clubs and studied business at LUISS Guido Carli in Rome, Italy.  Rocio enjoys spending time with her family, traveling the world, and looking after her pet rabbits.
